The whole school has been listening to "The Syncopated Clock" composed by Leroy Anderson.
Students in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade got to experience the music using scarves and some classes even earned the parachute. We used the scarves and parachute to show the form and styles throughout the music. Everyone had a great time moving to the music.
In 4th and 5th grade, students learned even more about the music. They learned that The Sycopated clock is written in Rondo form (ABACA) and the musical terms Staccato, Legato and Coda. They demostrated the musical form and terms while playing the cup game.
